The Arrecife City Council, through the Department of Tourism and Commerce, led by Councilor Eli Merino, has welcomed the first organized group of tourists traveling with TUI and vacationing in Lanzarote, as part of promotional actions to introduce the capital of Lanzarote to travelers enjoying their vacations on the island of volcanoes.

Eli Merino, accompanied by the director of the Navilan Ciudad de Arrecife Christmas Fair, welcomed this group of 35 tourists, adults and children, who enjoyed the afternoon in the capital, and also visited the Artisan Market that hosts this Christmas fair promoted by the Arrecife City Council.

During this edition of Navilan, Tourism Arrecife and the technical organization of Navilan have closed tourist packages to be marketed by Tour Operators and Travel Agencies offering visits to Arrecife and Navilan.

Periodically, as a result of this agreement with TUI - the largest tour operator in Europe, different organized groups will visit Arrecife, tour the unique corners surrounding the Charco de San Ginés, and enjoy gastronomic tastings at the Navilan fair, where among its attractions are the creations marketed by artisans from the island who exhibit their products at this Christmas fair.

The Arrecife City Council has planned for December 26th to be an inclusive opening day, ensuring that everyone can enjoy the attractions, activities, and facilities of Navilan. For the first time in Lanzarote, the fair features a 40-meter-high Ferris wheel, offering impressive panoramic views of Arrecife illuminated for Christmas, in this year where the city is commemorating the 225th anniversary of the municipality's founding.
