Between January and October of this year, 200,530 people arrived in cruise to the port of Arrecife, more than triple that of last year, but well below the figures reached between January and October of 2019, when 354,258 cruise passengers had arrived.
The port of the capital of Lanzarote counted 38,509 cruise passengers this October, making it the month of the year with the most arrivals so far. That is 64% more than in the same month of 2021, but 16% below those who arrived in October 2019.
To check if this decreasing trend in the number of cruise arrivals is maintained or reversed, we will have to pay close attention to the data for November and December, months in which there have historically always been more cruise arrivals to the island.
