The Art, Culture and Tourism Centers (CACT) have renewed their outstanding mark in terms of transparency. This was reported by the organization in a press release, after the annual examination to which these services are subjected to measure and assess the degree of transparency in the exercise of the activity.
During the 2022 financial year, the entity managed to reach 9.32 out of 10 points according to the criteria set by the Transparency Commissioner of the Government of the Canary Islands (IT Canarias), and 9.57 according to those of the State Law on Transparency of Public Activity.
The president of the Cabildo of Lanzarote and of the Board of Directors of the Tourist Centers, María Dolores Corujo, has congratulated the entire staff and pointed out that these values "are the result of a model that bets on coordination, collaboration and respect as tools for quality, effective and efficient public management, fully accessible to the population, in addition".
For his part, the CEO of CACT, Benjamín Perdomo, thanked the workers for "their effort and commitment to make us a little better every day", and wanted to remember that "in 2018, before the beginning of this legislature, these spaces obtained 5.30 and 4.88 in the transparency indices".
The Transparency Portal of the Art, Culture and Tourism Centers can be visited on its website. This portal is redesigned and articulated around 18 axes, providing "clear and detailed" information on different fields of action of the Tourist Centers, such as Employment in the public sector, Contracts, Public works, Heritage, Statistics and Remuneration, among others.
