Vacation rentals continue to grow in Lanzarote and have already increased by 681 places in the last two months. This is reflected in the update daily of Canarias Datos Abiertos, according to the General Tourist Registry of the archipelago.
Specifically, between May 17 and this Monday, June 17, 230 new establishments were registered in the vacation category, in addition to the 451 homes that were registered between April and the first half of May.
These data show that there are already 8,572 homes of this type distributed between Lanzarote and La Graciosa. By municipality, those that monopolize half of the accommodation offer are: Yaiza and Tías. The southern municipality concentrates 2,422 vacation accommodations, 461 less; followed by Tías, with 2,298 tourist accommodations, with 72 more.
In contrast, in third position is Teguise, with 1730 vacation homes, which increases by 41. The towns on the island below a thousand vacation rentals are Arrecife (929), with 31 more homes; Haría (482), with 15 more; San Bartolomé (434), with an increase of 21; and Tinajo (276), with eleven less.
Although vacation rentals are concentrated throughout the island, a good part is located in the most touristy spots. For example, the town of Playa Blanca has 1896 vacation rentals, only six more than a month ago. Meanwhile, Puerto del Carmen announces 1,074 tourist accommodations, eleven more than 30 days ago; and Costa Teguise, 664, three less than a month ago.
