The commitment to imprint a social and solidarity character on the 'Saborea Lanzarote Enogastronomic Festival' continues, confirming the participation of seven associations from the Island in the tenth edition of the festival.

'Rotary Lanzarote', 'Asociación Creciendo', 'Ampa Pelargos', 'LanzaroTEA', 'La Vida Zuaina', 'TribArte' and the 'Asociación Más Familia' will be the groups belonging to the third sector that will be present at the fair on November 25 and 26.

The Minister of Social Welfare, Marci Acuña, pointed out that "with the aim of taking up the baton and advancing in a transversal event, work is being done to, on the one hand, expand the participation of third sector entities that develop projects on the island and, on the other hand, promote volunteering and solidarity as principles."

"This year we have 'Rotary Lanzarote', which represents volunteering and solidarity; 'LanzaroTEA', dedicated to improving the quality of life of people diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder; 'Creciendo', an entity that celebrates its tenth anniversary this year and that attends to intellectual disabilities; 'TribArte', an entity that helps foreign minors under guardianship who reach the age of majority, providing tools to improve their integration; 'Más Familia', dedicated to helping young people formerly under the tutelage of the administration; 'La vida es Zuaina', recently awarded the 'Canarias Joven' for its work with vulnerable children, and 'Ampa Pelargos' of the CEIP Los Geranios, whose project aims to facilitate extracurricular activities for students with economic difficulties and improve family reconciliation," Acuña detailed.

Meeting with students with functional diversity

On the other hand, after the celebration of the 'Saborea Lanzarote Festival', the infrastructure set up for the days of November 30 and December 1 and 2 will be used to hold a large meeting of students with functional diversity from Lanzarote, 'Aulas Enclave' and specific schools and 'Ser Teguise'.

The meeting will be held to "promote coexistence and vindicate" this group, coinciding with the commemoration of the 'International Day of Persons with Disabilities', on December 3.
