In April, a total of 3,968 labor contracts were signed in Lanzarote, 63% of which were permanent.
The labor reform has greatly contributed to the growth of permanent hiring, which continues to grow. In 2022, of the total of 62,025 labor contracts that were signed, 53% were permanent.
So far in 2023, the number of permanent contracts among the 17,677 contracts signed amounts to 58%.
By municipalities, more than a third of the contracts in the first quarter, 6,379, were signed in Arrecife.
Tías and Yaiza, with 3,735 and 3,298 new contracts respectively, account for more than 7,000 contracts.
Next is Teguise, where 2,091 labor contracts were signed between January and April.
In San Bartolomé there were 1,378, while in Haría and Tinajo, 504 and 292 contracts were signed respectively.
