The hotel and catering sector has once again stood out by bringing together the majority of Social Security affiliations, with 19,296 contributors, and not only that, but it improves its data considerably since January, with 17,676 more people in just three months.

The podium is closed by wholesale and retail trade and the repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles with 11,313 affiliates and administrative and support activities with 5,015.

Likewise, these areas are joined by construction with 4,524 affiliates and health activities with 4,010 contributors, the only ones that manage to exceed the barrier of 4,000 people.

Affiliates also grow in the archipelago as a whole

The number of Social Security affiliates in the Canary Islands rose in April to 839,049 contributors, which represents an increase of 0.63% compared to the previous month, or what is the same, 5,225 more people, according to data from the Ministry.
