The Official College of Industrial Engineers of Eastern Canary Islands (COIICO), through its SME Acceleration Office, has presented today a new cycle of seminars aimed at women that will address issues related to digital skills in the business environment.
The main objective is to reduce the gender gap in this area by training women entrepreneurs, self-employed or belonging to SMEs in Lanzarote.
Digital marketing concepts, productivity tools, work methodologies and online positioning will take center stage in the 12 courses that will be taught at Magma Workcafe, in Arrecife, in the coming weeks.
The day began today with a presentation ceremony that was attended by numerous professionals from the sector, such as María Jesús Tovar, Councilor for Social Services, Immigration and Equality and Human Resources of the Arrecife City Council, ATRIA LANZAROTE and Concha Saavedra, president of the Association of Professional and Business Women, among others.
"The gender digital gap influences structurally, both in access and in the maintenance of women's work activity," explained Concha Saavedra, president of ATRIA LANZAROTE. "Within our objectives is to promote initiatives and projects that promote and improve the training of women in the digital environment."
The first seminar called "Developing the digital internet strategy of your company" will take place this afternoon from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. and will be taught by Ana Belén Domínguez, an expert in digital marketing.
"The initiative is not only timely, but fundamental at a time when the digital divide is distancing many citizens from the possibility of accessing aid or procedures that are urgent and for which they do not have the appropriate tools," said María Jesús Tovar, Councilor for Social Services, Immigration and Equality and Human Resources of the Arrecife City Council.
For its part, the cycle will end on April 21 with the course "Take photos of your company for Social Networks with your smartphone". You can check the dates and times, as well as register, on the COIICO website.
A project that has been possible thanks to the joint collaboration of the Martínez Hermanos Foundation, ATRIA LANZAROTE, Association of Professional and Business Women of Lanzarote, and Magma Innovation Services, as well as with the financing of the European Regional Development Funds (ERDF), Red.es and the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Digital Transformation.
