The Lanzarote and La Graciosa Chamber of Commerce held the "Digital Kit Electronic Invoicing Conference – Countdown to Veri*Factu 2026" this Thursday, as part of the Acelera Pyme Offices for Digital Kit program launched by Red.es. A meeting **aimed at companies, self-employed individuals, and professionals** to offer clarity on the regulatory changes emerging around the implementation of the Veri*Factu system and the future mandatory nature of electronic invoicing.
The session took place in the Chamber's CFC Room and brought together a large number of attendees, both in person and online.
The event was inaugurated by the president of the Chamber of Commerce of Lanzarote and La Graciosa, José Valle, who highlighted the importance of "accompanying the business fabric in regulatory adaptation processes as relevant as this one," emphasizing that "the Chamber is committed to offering rigorous information and useful training so that self-employed individuals and companies can anticipate changes with security and confidence."
The meeting was attended by Javier Hurtado, an official from the State Tax Administration Agency (AEAT) and head of the VERI*FACTU system's development. Hurtado explained in detail the new features, deadlines, and requirements that Spanish companies will have to meet within the framework of the new electronic invoicing model, highlighting the technical and operational processes necessary to ensure a smooth transition to the planned mandatory system.
Throughout the session, the opportunities offered by the Digital Kit program to facilitate the technological adaptation of SMEs and self-employed individuals were also addressed. The keys to integrating digital solutions that allow compliance with Veri*Factu requirements and improve the administrative and fiscal management of businesses were presented, promoting progressive, efficient digitalization aligned with their real needs.
At the end of the event, a Q&A session was opened where practical cases were analyzed and the more technical aspects of the regulations were delved into. Participants highly valued the clarity of the explanations, the usefulness of the content, and the opportunity to receive direct guidance from an AEAT representative.
With this initiative, the Lanzarote and La Graciosa Chamber of Commerce reaffirms its commitment to the modernization and competitiveness of the island's business fabric, bringing updated information and promoting a secure transition towards the new digital invoicing framework that will shape the administrative functioning of companies in the coming years.
The Acelera pyme Offices for the Digital Kit, launched by Red.es, a public entity attached to the Ministry for Digital Transformation and Public Function, through the Secretariat of State for Digitalization and Artificial Intelligence, with the collaboration of Cámara de España, aim to drive the digital transformation of small and medium-sized enterprises, micro-enterprises, and self-employed individuals. The initiatives are financed by the Recovery, Transformation, and Resilience Plan through NextGenerationEU funds, within the framework of the Spain Digital 2026 agenda and the SME Digitalization Plan 2021-2025.
