The Arrecife City Council has initiated the public procedure to grant fifteen authorizations for special use of public domain intended for the installation of mobile gastronomic stalls of the food truck type in the fairgrounds during the San Ginés 2026 festivities.

Interested parties have four business days to submit their applications starting this Tuesday, after their publication in the Official Gazette of the province (BOP) on Monday, August 10. Each participant may only submit a single request, which will grant access to the administrative procedure upon payment of the corresponding municipal fee.

The call for applications explain that the authorized gastronomic vans will provide food and drink service on three key days of the capital's festivities: August 15, 22, and 25 on the Cabildo esplanade.

The stalls, which may not exceed the maximum dimensions of six by three meters, can offer everything from sandwiches, hamburgers, pizzas, or international food to pastries, ice cream, and drinks.

In the event that demand exceeds the fifteen licenses offered, the final award of the stalls and the configuration of the reserve list will be determined by public draw, the date and time of which will be announced on the municipal notice board after the publication of the definitive lists of admitted applicants.

The licenses granted will be personal and non-transferable. Likewise, the bases establish strict requirements in terms of safety, health, and aesthetics, prohibiting the placement of terraces, chairs, umbrellas, or external sound equipment so as not to interfere with the concerts on the main stage, and obliging the awardees to have civil liability insurance, supply bulletins, and a waste management plan.
