The Marea restaurant at the Meliá Salinas Hotel not only offered a great Christmas Eve dinner, but diners will also be able to enjoy a delicious New Year's Eve. Overlooking Las Cucharas beach and Los Charcos, in Costa Teguise, the restaurant has once again prepared a special menu to say goodbye to the year 2012.
As welcome appetizers, customers can enjoy a glass of Juvé Camps Reserva de Familia cava, a glass of foie mousse with sweet Muscat gelee from La Geria, Iberian ham skewer and candied tomato and a mini caviar blinis and salmon tartare.
The main courses will consist of roasted lobster, emulsion of its coral and artichoke slices in tempura; Christmas consommé Lhardy Madrid style; Supreme of sea bass with the fragrance of lime and citrus on parmentier of violet potato and roasted asparagus yolks and sirloin medallion with foie in Oporto reduction and shallots glazed with Champagne. For desserts, there will be a three-chocolate semifreddo and creamy caramelized Canarian honey rum.
All this will be washed down with Pago de Cirsus Chardonay D.O. Navarra white wine, Senda de los Olivos Reserva Finca La Carrasca D.O. Ribera del Duero red wine and Juve & Camps Reserva de la Familia cava toast. There will also be a selection of coffees and infusions and Christmas sweets, party favors and lucky grapes. In addition, diners can enjoy fireworks and a New Year's Eve party, all for 125 euros plus IGIC.
The restaurant will also offer a children's menu, which will consist of Iberian ham, prawns, creamy Canarian croquettes, sirloin steak with fried potatoes, fluid chocolate sponge cake with ice cream and water, juices or soft drinks. The price of this menu is 55 euros plus IGIC.
