The President of the Government of the Canary Islands and General Secretary of the PSOE, Ángel Víctor Torres, has shown himself this Wednesday in favor of the president of the Cabildo of La Gomera and leader of Agrupación Socialista Gomera (ASG), Casimiro Curbelo, returning to his formation.
"It would be good," he indicated in an interview granted to a radio station and collected by Europa Press, in which he recalled that Curbelo was part of the PSOE for "a very long time" and gave a "magnificent result" both in Parliament and in the institutions of La Gomera.
Therefore, he commented that "it is possible that he can return" to the PSOE and in fact, he will be invited to the next regional congress of the formation that will be held in November, as will the rest of the political forces of the archipelago.
Torres has acknowledged that he has already spoken with Curbelo about the possibility that "in one way or another," he and his formation will return to be under the umbrella of the PSOE, both for the "mutual interest" of both political formations and for the "general" interest of the Canary Islands.
Meanwhile, he pointed out, ASG is part of the Government of the Canary Islands through the Ministry of Tourism, Industry and Commerce led by Yaiza Castilla and "contributes greatly to the stability and future of the Canary Islands."
