The positive cases of coronavirus in Lanzarote have increased to 59, adding eight more than the previous day. In addition, the number of people admitted to the Molina Orosa Hospital has also increased, from 19 to 21.
Of those hospitalized in Lanzarote, 13 are on the ward and eight in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). In this regard, it should be remembered that the Molina Orosa Hospital decided this Tuesday to expand its ICU beds, adding eight to the 10 it already had, and having planned to enable up to a total of 40 if necessary.
As for the number of active cases is 54, since a new death has had to be mourned, that of a 75-year-old man with previous pathologies, which raises the number of deaths on the island to four. In addition, for the moment, only one patient has been discharged.
A total of 33 of those infected are in home isolation.
