The Canary Islands Government Council held this Thursday has once again modified the closing times and permitted capacities in each health alert level, again extending those that were in force.

The measure, which is in addition to the extension that will allow the use of the Covid certificate, will come into effect from December 15 and, in principle, until January 10.

According to the new regulation, the closing time in level 1, in which Lanzarote is currently located, is set until 4 am, with a capacity in exteriors of 100% and in interiors of 75%.

In level 2, the closing time is set at 3:00 am and the capacity in exterior at 75% and in interior at 50%; while in level 3 the closing time will be at 2:00 am and the capacity in exterior at 50% and in interior at 33%.

As for level 4, in which no island is currently located, no changes have been approved, so the closing time remains at 1 am, with a maximum capacity of 33% in exteriors and 25% in the interior.

However, these restrictions may be eased in those establishments and activities that voluntarily decide to require the covid certificate, which comes into force this Friday in the Canary Islands. In this way, these establishments and activities may be covered by the provisions of the level immediately below the level in which the island is located.

In the case of those that are in level 1, the schedules would be without limit and the capacity may return to 100% both indoors and outdoors.

How many people can meet?

Although it has not been modified in this Thursday's session, the Canarian Government has also recalled the regulations in force regarding the number of people who can meet in public or private spaces, both closed and outdoors.

At level 1, the maximum was already extended in its day and continues to be set at 12 people. At level 2 it is at 8 people, and at level 3 and 4 at six people. In all cases, this rule does not apply if they are all cohabitants.

In the same way as in the case of capacities and schedules, these limits remain, in the case of using the covid certificate, in the measures that prevail in the level immediately below the one in which the island in question is located.
