The Ministry of Health of the Government of the Canary Islands has announced that from this Tuesday, March 15, the notification system for Covid-19 infections will change, ending the daily update and notifying the new cases registered only on Tuesdays and Fridays.

Thus, the Grafcan portal, which includes data such as accumulated cases, active cases, discharges, deaths, tests performed and hospital occupancy, will only be updated twice a week.

The Ministry of Health points out that this is an agreement of the Interterritorial Council, as a prior step to the implementation of the sentinel surveillance system for respiratory diseases, in which the Ministry of Health and the general directorates of Public Health of all the autonomous communities are working.
