Covid cases between 20 and 29 years old, the ones that have grown the most in the Canary Islands in the last week

The positives among people over 80 years of age are the ones that have increased the least

The 20 to 29 age group is the one that has grown the most in cases of coronavirus in the Canary Islands in the second week of October, adding 139 positives, reaching 2,710 accumulated cases among people of this age.

After this range is the one that includes between 40 and 49 years, which has added a total of 125 positives between October 5 and 11, bringing the accumulated cases to 2,631, according to the statistical data of the Ministry of Health of the Government of the Canary Islands collected by Europa Press.

Likewise, the sections of between 30 and 39 years, and from 50 to 59 years, have also added 110 new positives each range in that week, in such a way that among the thirty-year-olds the total cases closed the week with 2,602, while among people from 50 to 59 years, 2,174 cases were reached.

As for young people between 10 and 19 years old, there were 77 new positives (1,320 total cases). In number of cases, it is followed by the age group of 60 to 69 years with 69 more cases (1,439); while the age groups of 0 to 9 and from 70 to 79 years added 49 new positives each, bringing their totals to 630 and 909 cases, respectively.

Finally, among people over 80 years of age, 28 new positives were known in the Canary Islands in this second week of October, concluding on October 11 with 618 accumulated cases.

Currently, the Canary Islands registers an accumulated of 15,175 positives, of which 6,950 are epidemiologically active cases. Of these, 57 are admitted to the ICU and 226 are hospitalized on the ward.
