The Canary Islands registered a new record of daily infections this Saturday with 1,688 cases of coronavirus in the last 24 hours, slightly higher than yesterday, so that the accumulated number amounts to 115,750 since the beginning of the pandemic, while the deaths amount to 1,085 after two deaths were reported, one in Tenerife and one in Gran Canaria.
According to data provided by the Ministry of Health, of the total cases, 12,831 are active, of which 57 are admitted to the ICU, 266 remain hospitalized and 12,508 in their homes.
The Cumulative Incidence at 7 days in the Canary Islands stands at 352.95 cases per 100,000 inhabitants and at 14 days at 483.51 cases per 100,000 inhabitants.
By islands, Tenerife adds 1,163 cases to accumulate 55,799 cases, of which 7,110 cases are epidemiologically active; while Gran Canaria registers 325 more positives to accumulate 43,307, of which 3,938 are active.
Lanzarote, meanwhile, has added 82 positives to accumulate 8,116, of which 430 are active; while Fuerteventura has 83 more positives to accumulate 6,086, of which 1,148 are active.
La Palma adds 30 new positives to accumulate 1,455, of which 157 are active; the island of El Hierro does not add new positives, so it includes 489, of which 17 cases are active; and La Gomera adds four new cases, so it has 496, of which 30 are active.
To date, a total of 2,550,611 diagnostic tests have been carried out on the islands, of which 14,046 correspond to yesterday.
For its part, the Ministry of Health recalls that these data published on the Grafcan portal are provisional and are pending validation by the Public Health teams, so they could undergo variation once they are reviewed.
In this way, the dynamics of the Coordinating Center for Alerts and Emergencies is followed, which does not receive epidemiological information from the Autonomous Communities on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays.
