Canary Islands registers 1,235 infections and two deaths in the last 24 hours

The Canary Islands has registered this Sunday 1,235 coronavirus infections in the last 24 hours, below the 1,688 that occurred yesterday Saturday, in such a way that the accumulated number amounts to 116,985 since the beginning of the pandemic, while the deceased amount to 1,087 after two deaths were reported.

According to data provided by the Ministry of Health, of the total cases, 13,964 are active, of which 57 are admitted to the ICU, 268 remain hospitalized and 13,639 in their homes.

The Cumulative Incidence at 7 days in the Canary Islands stands at 383.23 cases per 100,000 inhabitants and at 14 days at 525.75 cases per 100,000 inhabitants.

By islands, Tenerife adds 805 cases to accumulate 56,604 cases, of which 7,893 cases are epidemiologically active; while Gran Canaria registers 314 more positives to accumulate 43,621, of which 4,238 are active.

Lanzarote, meanwhile, has added 46 positives to accumulate 8,162, of which 426 are active; while Fuerteventura has 45 more positives to accumulate 6,131, of which 1,192 are active.

La Palma adds 15 new positives to accumulate 1,470, of which 163 are active; the island of El Hierro adds three new positives, bringing together 492, of which 19 cases are active; and La Gomera adds seven new cases, bringing the total to 503, of which 32 are active.

As of this Sunday, a total of 2,560,684 diagnostic tests have been carried out on the islands, of which 10,073 correspond to yesterday.

For its part, the Ministry of Health recalls that these data published on the Grafcan portal are provisional and are pending validation by the Public Health teams, so they may vary once they are reviewed.

In this way, the dynamics of the Coordinating Center for Alerts and Emergencies is followed, which does not receive epidemiological information from the Autonomous Communities on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays.
