Canary Islands notifies five more deaths and 211 new positives in the last day

The Cumulative Incidence at seven days in the Canary Islands drops to 73.35 cases per 100,000 inhabitants and at 14 days it decreases to 172.38 cases

The Canary Islands has registered 211 new cases of Covid-19 in the last 24 hours, so the total accumulated in the archipelago amounts to 91,328, while the deaths rise to 926 by adding five deaths, three of them in Gran Canaria and two in Tenerife, according to data from the Ministry of Health.

Of the total cases, 13,663 are active (-249), of which 81 are admitted to the ICU (-4), 372 remain hospitalized (-4) and 13,210 are in their homes (-241). In addition, 455 people have been discharged in the last hours, so that 76,739 canaries have overcome the disease so far in the pandemic.

As for the Cumulative Incidence (IA) at seven days in the Canary Islands drops to 73.35 cases per 100,000 inhabitants and the IA at 14 days decreases to 172.38 cases per 100,000 inhabitants.

Meanwhile, a total of 1,989,117 PCR tests have been carried out in the islands --4,890 in the last 24 hours--, of which 118,853 were positive, which represents 5.98 percent.

By islands, Tenerife adds 95 positives, accumulating 43,916 cases, of which 8,192 are epidemiologically active, 524 have died (+2) and 35,200 have overcome the disease; Gran Canaria has 34,913 accumulated (+91), of which 5,016 are active, 315 have died (+3) and 29,579 have been discharged.

For its part, Lanzarote adds 7 positives, with 6,540 accumulated, of which 160 are active, while it has registered 49 deaths and 6,331 have overcome the disease; and Fuerteventura has 4,048 accumulated cases (+15), of which 241 are active, 16 have died and 3,791 have been discharged.

La Palma adds three cases in the last day, so it has 1,074 accumulated, of which 37 are active, 14 have died and 1,023 have been discharged.

Finally, El Hierro has an accumulated of 444 by not reporting new infections, of which ten are active, four have died and 430 have overcome the disease; while La Gomera has an accumulated of 392 cases (without variation), of which seven are active, one has died and 384 have been discharged.
