Canary Islands adds 671 new cases of coronavirus and registers 5 deaths

Regarding the Cumulative Incidence at 7 days in the Canary Islands, it already reaches 247.06 cases per 100,000 inhabitants and at 14 days it grows to 500.06 cases

The Canary Islands has registered 671 new cases of Covid-19 in the last 24 hours, so the total accumulated in the archipelago rises to 81,765, while the deaths reach 836 after adding five deaths in the last day, according to data from the Ministry of Health of the Canary Islands Government.

The five deaths registered in the last day, all in Tenerife, are three women aged 69, 57 and 56, as well as two men aged 56 and 44. In addition, the death that was added to the statistics of Gran Canaria this Monday and was pending validation corresponds to a man, 76 years old.

Thus, of the total cases, 14,659 are active (8 less than a day ago), of which 91 are admitted to the ICU (+1), 464 remain hospitalized (-15) and 14,104 are in their homes (+6). In addition, 674 people have been discharged in the last hours, so that 66,270 Canarians have overcome the disease so far in the pandemic.

Regarding the Cumulative Incidence (IA) at 7 days in the Canary Islands, it already reaches 247.06 cases per 100,000 inhabitants and the IA at 14 days grows to 500.06 cases per 100,000 inhabitants. Likewise, a total of 1,851,331 PCR tests have been carried out in the islands, of which 106,564 were positive, which represents 5.76 percent.

By islands, Tenerife adds 346 positives, accumulating 39,418 cases, of which 8,518 are epidemiologically active (+29), 473 have died (+5) and 30,427 have overcome the disease; Gran Canaria has 30,847 accumulated (+275), of which 5,169 are active (+60), 285 have died and 25,393 have been discharged.

For its part, Lanzarote adds 17 positives, with 6,186 accumulated, of which 171 are active (+5), while it has registered 49 deaths and 5,966 have overcome the disease; Fuerteventura has 3,538 accumulated cases (+17), of which 640 are active (+93), 14 have died and 2,884 have been discharged; and La Palma adds nine new cases, so it has 979 accumulated, of which 109 are active (-3), 10 have died and 860 have been discharged.

Finally, El Hierro remains in the accumulated of 423 by adding two new cases, of which 11 are active (+2), four have died and 408 have overcome the disease; while La Gomera adds five new positives, so it accumulates 370 cases, of which 39 are active, one has died and 330 have been discharged.
