The Canary Islands has added 43 new cases of COVID-19 coronavirus. The total of accumulated cases in the Canary Islands is 97,243 with 1,083 active, of which 15 are admitted to the ICU and 87 remain hospitalized. In the last hours there has been the death in Gran Canaria of a 70-year-old man, who suffered from previous pathologies and was admitted to the hospital.
The Cumulative Incidence at 7 days in the Canary Islands stands at 24.27 cases per 100,000 inhabitants and at 14 days at 50.55 cases per 100,000 inhabitants.
By islands, Tenerife adds 14 cases with a total of 46,427 accumulated cases and 493 epidemiologically active cases; Gran Canaria has 37,118 accumulated cases, 21 more than the previous day and 424 active. Lanzarote adds four new cases with 7,094 accumulated and 58 epidemiologically active; Fuerteventura adds two new cases, has 4,591 accumulated cases and 79 active. La Palma does not report new cases, has 1,131 accumulated and 18 active, while El Hierro does not register new cases either, has 468 accumulated and two active. La Gomera, which reports two new positives, has 413 accumulated and its assets are nine.
Until this Monday, a total of 2,255,058 diagnostic tests have been carried out in the Islands, of which 2,079 correspond to the previous day.
