A reader has contacted La Voz to report that the La Concha area is without garbage collection service after the burning of one of the containers, which, in addition, the Arrecife City Council has not removed.

The neighbor recounts that the fire incinerated several containers of organic waste, cardboard, plastic, and glass on September 21st at the corner of José María Gil Street and Manuel de Falla Street.

"Despite the fact that the residents have filed a request with the Arrecife City Council, the situation remains the same, and the remains have not been removed, nor have new containers been placed," he points out.

In this regard, the citizen states that "this poses a serious health and safety problem, in addition to depriving the area of a basic selective waste collection service," and therefore they demand "immediate action to clean the area and replace the containers."
