A La Voz reader reports a discharge of sewage into the sea in Costa Teguise, in the area near the La Mareta residence. The citizen has sent the newspaper a video where you can see a small river of dirty water falling into the sea.
It is not the first time that beaches in the town have been closed for the same reason. A little over a week ago, Jablillo beach was closed to swimming after contamination was detected in its waters.
Also on Las Cucharas beach, swimming was prohibited due to other sewage spills and problems in the sanitation near the Las Salinas hotel.
