A reader has contacted La Voz to report that Iberia has lost her and more passengers' luggage on a flight to Madrid.
The woman took a flight from Lanzarote to Madrid at 07.00 on Saturday but when she arrived at the airport, she saw a huge queue at the airline's desk. "There were many people with large suitcases and the queue was moving very slowly," she says.
Although it was already boarding time, according to the passenger, "more than half of the queue was still to be checked in but they finally checked everyone in and we ran to the plane". "I don't know if they didn't put the suitcases in because of volume or time because there were many", she indicates.
In addition, she assures that the last passengers who entered the plane, like her and other people, do not have suitcases. "When we arrived in Madrid to make the stopover, three suitcases came out of the belt, so we went to the desk and they told us that there was no incident in Lanzarote and nobody knew anything", she explains.
"They told us that they would send them to us so we had to go to Copenhagen, our destination, without suitcases and buy two or three things at the airport because we had nothing", she says.
Upon arrival in the Scandinavian country, "we have called every day since Saturday and they have told us that they already know that the suitcases arrived yesterday in Madrid but we do not know when they are going to send them to us because on top of that we are going to Stockholm tomorrow, so we do not know where they are going to send them to us specifically", she concludes.
He is not the only one affected by this reason on other Iberia flights, as La Voz has spoken with two other passengers on a flight to Madrid on November 30 to whom the company also lost their suitcases and to this day they have not recovered them. "I came to Madrid with summer clothes because I came from Lanzarote," she says.
"I have called ten times to find out when I am going to receive my suitcase and each worker who attended me told me a different thing", she assures.
For her part, the other passenger is also still waiting for her suitcase, as are some of the rest of the group of people with whom she was traveling. "Some have already been delivered to them but most have not, and they sent me a suitcase that was not mine", she points out.
