A reader has contacted La Voz to report that the works on Don Manuel Cáceres street, in the Argana Baja neighborhood, have modified the direction of this road and that, according to him, "now it does not allow access to all homes".
According to the resident, "before the reforms, the street had two-way traffic, which allowed access to all homes and that area through Martínez Montañez street (in red) and through Don Manuel Cáceres street (in blue)".
This situation "causes a traffic jam from the access through the José Molina Orosa Hospital, which already exists because it is also the access to the industrial estate in that area), in such a way that if at any time Martínez Montañez street is blocked for any reason, I will access my home by helicopter", he jokes.
In this sense, the resident points out that "these decisions should be made taking into account the opinion of the residents of the neighborhood because we are the ones who know the reality of the neighborhood".
In addition, he states that he has tried to speak on several occasions with Yonathan de León, mayor of Arrecife, both through the electronic headquarters and in person, but "there is no way to get an appointment", he concludes.
