A reader of La Voz de Lanzarote has contacted us to denounce the lack of civic-mindedness of the driver of a vehicle from a Teguise City Council subcontractor.

The complainant points out that the car, bearing the logos of the local council, was parked on the sidewalk of the César Manrique Airport, thus obstructing access to both the car rental company parking lot and the panoramic elevator of Terminal 1, in front of which there were a large number of tourists.

The witness, concerned about the public image this generates for tourists entering the island, angrily emphasizes that “the rules must be respected, not just appear to be.”
