Neighbors of La Graciosa, members of the Felina Maulli2 Association, have started a petition on the change.org platform addressed to the Teguise City Council.

Specifically, they request that "measures be taken to resolve the situation of the cats that are on the street without being sterilized, without sanitary control, and without being fed under these conditions".

As they have previously denounced, the colonies "do not stop growing, which is why it is necessary to act for the well-being of these felines, but also for the protection of birds and to prevent harm to the community".

Faced with this, they propose massive sterilization as a solution and, as an alternative, creating a shelter where they can be cared for under proper conditions, but never removing them from La Graciosa.

For all these reasons, they are asking the island's residents and all animal welfare advocates for their support for this petition, which can be signed at this link
