"Guasimeta" and not "Guacimeta". That is how the name of this beach is written on several signs in Playa Honda, one at the entrance to the town and another on the esplanade near the beach itself. "It is an image that demonstrates how far ignorance reaches in the Cabildo", said a reader, who is surprised that no one has criticized it before.

This reader refers to the sign located at the entrance to Playa Honda, placed by the Cabildo, since the one on the esplanade near the beach bears the seal of the San Bartolomé City Council.

"It is a disgrace with all the people who are unemployed and so many others without help, and in the Cabildo they have people working who don't even know how to write. It's shameful", exclaims this resident of Lanzarote.
