The "Complejo-Lanzagrava" special stage, held on the night of Friday, March 31st, in the streets and parking lots of the Teguise Agrotechnological Center, was "a complete success and lived up to its name." Both fans and teams fully enjoyed a demanding and beautiful course, with lighting and large spaces for public areas, which gathered in large numbers as had not been seen in a rally for many years. The idea of CD.Manguia has pleased everyone, and this Saturday, April 1st, will close the rally with a second pass, starting at 5:50 PM.

A first special that has served for Yeray Lemes-Aitor Cambeiro with the Citroen C3 Rally2 of Sport&You Canarias to become the first leaders of the Rally Villa de Teguise in its seventh edition, which will continue this Saturday from 10 am. The best time achieved by the Lanzarote world championship driver was 1.12.1, completed with a good display of driving with this Rally2 that he already knows from other previous participations.

Lemes added a 1.3-second advantage over Tenerife's Sergio Fuentes, with Lanzarote's Ariday Bonilla as co-driver with the second Citroen C3 Rally2 unit, who also adapted remarkably to the course and his mount. The third step of this ephemeral provisional podium is occupied by Aníbal Machín-Jordi Díaz with the Peugeot 208 Rally4 and a time of 1.15.1.

It was not the ideal section for the powerful rear-wheel-drive Porsche 911s, with the Gran Canaria team of Julio Martínez-Pedro Viera, the current provincial champions, taking fourth place. They only beat the Lanzarote champions and winners of the last editions of this rally, Toñín Suárez-Jorge Cedrés, by 1.2 seconds. It is worth noting the sixth place achieved by Julián Arrocha-Marcial Martín with a Renault Megane Coupé.

Before the stage, the Complex as the venue for the event hosted the verifications, which were not attended by four teams, those with numbers 7, 17, 26, and 31. One of them is Suso Lemes, who sold his Mitsubishi a few days before and could not find a new mount.

As always, this type of section with dirty asphalt that led to spins and skids, as always, you can lose more time than you can gain. And this circumstance was once again evident, as happened to Oliver Rodríguez-David Rivero, who dropped 8.6 seconds behind the leaders of the classification with the third Porsche 911 present in the rally.

This Saturday, the remaining six sections will be held from 10 in the morning, with the final trophy presentation in one of the Complex's tents, around 7 pm in the afternoon.
