Yare Cocera and Kennedy Hope take the victories in the San Ginés 2023 Swimming Crossing

A 28th edition in which 200 swimmers have participated

The San Ginés Swimming Crossing, second in the Real Club Náutico de Arrecife calendar after San Juan, was held with the participation of 200 swimmers and good weather conditions, which allowed the winner to reduce the time of the previous edition by more than one minute (00:14:53 in 2022 and 00:13:08 in 2023).

Yare Corcera (CN Metropole) won the victories in the general and men's classifications, after investing a time of 00:13:08, 44 seconds ahead of Gustavo Lourenço, who was the winner in 2022. The podium was completed by Juan José de Armas, these two from Club Nadamas.

In the women's classification, Kennedy Hope (Nadamas) was the winner, followed by the Zero Wattios swimmers, Carla de Marco and Natalia de Marco. Andrés Martín won in the adapted category. The winners in the rest of the categories were: Nora Morales Fajardo in alevines, Katia Pérez (benjamín), in children Ricardo Martín and Carla de Marco, junior 1 Gustavo Lourenço and Lucía Vázquez, junior 2 Yare Cocera and Kennedy Hope.

In the master category groups they won: Jorge Wilkes and Esmeralda Gil (20-24 years), Aythami Cirugeda and Laura Picos (25-29 years), Aythami Hernández and Sybille Bouchet (30-34 years), Víctor Manuel González and Ana Teresa González (35-39 years), Esteban Pizarro and Cristina Alayón (40-44 years), Gerardo Collazo and Erika Machín (45-49 years), Andrés Cuello and Nicole Winker (50-54 years), José Luis Eugenia and Juana Teresa Machín (55-59), Ángel Cejudo and Cinzia Lais (60-64), José Luis Chantada and Rosa María Robayna (65-69) and Rosa Segarra (70-74).

The San Ginés Swimming Crossing was valid for the Lanzarote Open Water Cup organized by the Cabildo de Lanzarote from its Department of Sports.
