The sports management of Unión Deportiva Lanzarote continues to close collaboration agreements, with the aim of continuing to promote grassroots football on the island of Lanzarote and that young people have a greater number of possibilities to continue growing athletically. UD Lanzarote has reached a collaboration agreement with Club Deportivo Maciot Sport for the 2018/2019 season, a collaboration that will surely be satisfactory for both clubs.
The acting president of UD Lanzarote, Paulino Guedes, and the president of CD Maciot Sport, José Díaz, signed this week a collaboration agreement between the two clubs. The signed document specifies all the details of the agreement, and CD Maciot Sport becomes an affiliated club of UD Lanzarote. The common objective is the promotion and benefit of football on the island of Lanzarote.
The agreement will be satisfactory for both parties. UD Lanzarote will transfer players to CD Maciot Sport, so that the affiliated club can complete the squads of the different teams. The players of CD Maciot Sport will be monitored, and they will complete their training stage until the cadet category in the club of the San Francisco Javier neighborhood. In addition, the rojillos will transfer their facilities and CD Maciot Sport will participate in the training projects that are carried out throughout the season by UD Lanzarote.
CD Maciot Sport is the second entity to reach a collaboration agreement with UD Lanzarote, after signing last week an agreement of the same characteristics with UDP Costa Teguise. CD Maciot Sport has been doing its work for several seasons, especially focused on the San Francisco Javier neighborhood of Arrecife. It currently has teams in the Benjamin, Alevín, Infantil and Cadet categories, and a women's team that competes in the Lanzarote Fuerteventura Interinsular League, reaping several titles in recent seasons.
