Setback suffered by UD Lanzarote in their match against Atlético Victoria, in a clash that had gone their way despite not playing well. Rosmen and Toñito put the score at 2-0 and Atlético Victoria rescued a point in added time in the second half. Ramsés and Óscar equalized when the locals were already celebrating the victory. The Rojillos cut one point with respect to the leadership.

The first half of the match was soporific, at least in its first 35 minutes. Imprecision in the circulation of the ball was common, with neither team managing to make combinations of more than three passes in a row. The goalkeepers were mere spectators in this section of the match and the few dangerous actions died in the vicinity of the area, without any type of consequence.

UD Lanzarote would take the lead in an isolated play in the 34th minute of the first half. Goalkeeper Berto did not measure well to stop a cross from Adrián Barrera's left wing, the ball touched Rosmen's chest and ended up sneaking into the goal defended by Atlético Victoria. The UD Lanzarote striker has 22 goals this season and played in a match with a few tenths of a fever.

Atlético Victoria had its opportunity in the 38th minute of the first half. Lele stood at speed in the local area and his shot did not find the three posts. Before the start of the counterattack, the UD Lanzarote players claimed a penalty for an action inside the area. With the score of 1 to 0, the first half of the match came to an end.

At the beginning of the second half, the Atlético Victoria coach made a double change and began to play with a defense of three players, taking risks to go for the tie. The Tenerife team had chances to equalize the score. In the 56th minute, the double shot from Galván and David was repelled by goalkeeper Rayco. And in the 58th minute, Lele received a ball inside the area and his crossed shot did not find the three posts of the local goal.

UD Lanzarote did not finish controlling the match and Atlético Victoria gave a great sensation of danger on the field. The Tenerife team had it again in the 67th minute. Lele made a slalom in front of the area and his shot with his right leg ended up crashing into the crossbar of the goal defended by Rayco. UD Lanzarote's response came in a set-piece action. Marcos Cabrera executed a free kick and goalkeeper Berto shone to avoid the goal.

With four minutes remaining until the end of the match, UD Lanzarote increased the differences on the scoreboard. Mauri picked up a cross from Toñito from the left wing on the back line, and put it for the arrival of Toñito who headed the ball into the back of the net. A goal that seemed to have finished the match, although it would not be so in the end.

In added time in the second half, Atlético Victoria would achieve a golden point, taking advantage of the excess of confidence of the locals. Ramsés headed in the 2-1 after a cross from the right wing. And just a minute later, a series of rebounds inside the area was taken advantage of by Óscar to make the definitive 2-2. And in the locals, Mauri had the last chance, his shot going to the side of the net.

A draw that tastes like defeat for UD Lanzarote, because despite not playing a good match they had managed to take a two-goal lead and saw the victory slip away in added time. And a point that tastes like victory for Atlético Victoria and that reaffirms its objective of continuing to fight for permanence.
