The Lanzarote derby of the Third Division was decided on the side of UD Lanzarote, a team that knocked out Unión Sur Yaiza in the first half, blurring the rival in the first 30 minutes of the period. Rosmen and Mauri, advanced Lanzarote in the first half and Rosmen sentenced the match in the second half. A clash in which both teams finished the match with nine players, an excessive punishment for an intense derby that did not have so many aggressive actions. A scuffle in the second half was punished by the referee with three direct red cards.

UD Lanzarote jumped onto the field in an overwhelming way and knocked out Unión Sur Yaiza in the first 25 minutes of the match, a period in which they scored two goals, missed a penalty and sent a ball to the base of the post. The rojillos took the lead in the 6th minute. Marcos Cabrera was in charge of executing a free kick from the left side, Rosmen rose and headed past goalkeeper Ruyman.

Just two minutes later, Toñito picked up a ball between the lines, reached the edge of the area and his shot crashed into the base of the goalpost. The locals could have increased the differences in the 16th minute, when Yaco entered the left wing and his cross hit Kamara's hand, the referee pointing out the maximum penalty. Rosmen was not able to take advantage of the penalty and his shot crashed into the base of the post.

UD Lanzarote increased the differences on the scoreboard in the 26th minute of the first half. The play was starred by Mauri on the left wing, he entered the area and with a subtle cross shot sent the ball into the back of the net. Unión Sur Yaiza was totally blurred on the field and as if it were a boxer was groggy from the blows received by the rival.

The coach of Unión Sur Yaiza, Carlos Ramírez, looked for solutions by bringing Javi Melián onto the field and removing Juanjo. The forces on the field were balanced, with most of the game taking place in the center of the field and with hardly any dangerous chances. With ten minutes left for the break, Yaiza was left with numerical inferiority due to the expulsion of Fouad with a double yellow card. With the score of 2 to 0, the first 45 minutes came to an end.

The pace of the match slowed down in the second half, with Unión Sur Yaiza trying to take the weight of the match and UD Lanzarote waiting for their rival to go on the counterattack. The first dangerous action of the second half was starred by Ubay, with an entry on the right wing and his shot was sent to a corner kick by Agoney.

At the edge of half an hour of the second half the match got too heated and the referee resolved the situation with three expulsions, leaving both teams with nine players on the field. An action between Juanca and Brad caused a scuffle, with the rojillo midfielder being sent off. The local goalkeeper Agoney and the visitor Juanca were also sent off, all of them with a direct red card.

The sentence would arrive with ten minutes left for the end of the match. Mauri stepped on the ball to get rid of several opponents from above, gave way to the entry of Echedey and he put it for Rosmen to finish at will to the bottom of the net.

The Lanzarote derby of the Third Division was decided on the side of UD Lanzarote, a team that consolidates in the second position and with 14 points of advantage over the fifth classified. Unión Sur Yaiza, despite the defeat, retains the fourth place thanks to the stumbles of Villa de Santa Brigida and Sporting San José.
