UD Lanzarote recovered on Wednesday afternoon the postponed match of the 25th round against CD Tenerife “B”, a match to which they arrived with the need to reverse the situation after the latest results achieved. Against one of the best teams in the category that have passed through the Lanzarote Sports City this season, the Rojillos were able to get the three points with goals scored by Keita in the first half and by Matheus in added time in the second half.
The match began with UD Lanzarote dominating, with the locals having two clear dangerous actions in set pieces. The fouls executed by Adrián Machín and Raúl found the response of goalkeeper Víctor. The forces were balanced as the minutes passed, with CD Tenerife “B” managing to have more presence on the field.
As the first half was dying, the action arrived that put UD Lanzarote ahead on the scoreboard. Miguel Gopar was in charge of executing a corner kick, putting the ball on Keita's head and the header would go to the back of the net. With 1-0 the break was reached.
In the second half, CD Tenerife “B” was clearly superior and subjected the Rojillos for almost half an hour, looking for the equalizing goal that would arrive in the 71st minute. Thierno took a ball at the right vertex of the area, passed Leo and with a low shot beat goalkeeper Alejandro.
The madness in the Lanzarote Sports City occurred when three minutes had passed over the regulatory time. Ayoze Pérez executed a corner kick to the right of the goal defended by Víctor, Matheus entered with everything in the first post and headed into the back of the net to make the second goal.
