UD Lanzarote premiered with a defeat in the second phase of the competition in the Third Division, after falling by the minimum against CD Buzanada on Sunday morning. Neither of the two teams did enough to win, with the Tenerife team taking the three points thanks to a solitary goal from Pirri at the start of the second half.
The match began with the dominance of the Lanzarote team, although little by little the forces were equalized on the field. A shot by Adrián Machín that went over the crossbar and a header by Rosmen at the near post were the first warnings from the locals.
The best chance of the first half came close to half an hour. Giovanni stole a ball in the vicinity of the area, ceded to the entry of Miguel Gómez on the left and the crossed shot went through the entire goal line. With the draw at zero, the first 45 minutes came to an end.
UD Lanzarote lacked intensity in the first minutes of the second half, a circumstance that was taken advantage of by Buzanada to take control. Pirri recovered a ball in the ball output of UD Lanzarote and with a shot that went through the squad beat goalkeeper Alejandro.
UD Lanzarote turned to the rival's goal in search of the equalizing goal, hanging balls into the area that were defended perfectly by the Tenerife defenders.
