The RallySprint La Candelaria returns to the Insular Calendar after years of waiting and more than a year working to make this motor event on the Island of Lanzarote a reality.
The number of registered participants is not concrete as of today, as we are waiting to see what may happen this weekend at the Rally de Santa Brígida, as confirmed by the president of the FALP, Miguel Ángel Domínguez.
Meanwhile, the mayor, José Juan Cruz, expressed his confidence that Lanzarote can once again have another event. In the coming days, information will be provided about street closures so that everything runs smoothly and impacts residents as little as possible.
Thus, Daniel Mesa, president of Escudería Lanzarote, expressed his motivation "to carry out an event," which, in his opinion, "should never have been forgotten; the fans and the competition teams wanted it that way. Now it's time to bring out the best in this Organization, of which I am very proud and in full confidence."
The XVII edition of RallySprint La Candelaria will be held on the weekend of March 8th and 9th. On Friday afternoon, administrative and technical checks and the closed park will be held on the central avenue of Tías. Meanwhile, on Saturday, at 10:00 am, on a seven-kilometer route with three passes in each direction, in a first pass between Candelaria and San Bartolomé.
