The Lanzarote event achieves a brilliant entry with the addition of Jan Cerny in the Formula Rally category

The organization of CD. Evesport advances the publication of the official list of entries for the championship "XLIV Haría Hill Climb", which is made up of a total of 56 vehicles, mostly by Lanzarote drivers, also highlighting a good representation from the island of La Gomera led by the leader of the regional championship, José Manuel González with his Porsche 911, reports the Cabildo de Lanzarote.

The group of favorites continues with more local drivers with Porsche 911, Antonio Suárez, Oliver Rodríguez and Yeray Lemes, in addition to the Audi R8 LMS of the Tenerife driver Angel Bello. Of all the entrants, eight do so in the Rally-Formula category, to which one of the protagonists of the Regional Rally, Jan Cerny with the Hyundai i20-N Rally2, has joined. And in category 2, only the BRC of Francisco Iván Galindo, also from Gomera.

The Lanzarote event takes place this Saturday, June 17 in its longest version, starting from 3:00 p.m. with the reconnaissance run. The car checks are throughout the morning will be held in the Vista Valle parking lot. While the assistance areas will be distributed between the starting area by Tabayesco and passing the finish line located at the Haría Viewpoint (Los Helechos). The event is expected to conclude around 6:00 p.m. with the presentation of the final trophies in the Plaza de Haría.

The route returns to the 8.5 km format between Tabayesco and the Haría Viewpoint, with 471 meters of positive difference in altitude and an average slope of 5.54%, according to the Island Government.

In relation to other years, Lauren García won last 2022 in Haría with the Norma and a time of 2.03.243, but on this occasion he declined to come due to problems with some spare parts for his car, he says. That same year, the victory in touring cars went to Toñín Suárez (Porsche 911 GT3) with 2.16.879 and in barquetillas José Luis Rodríguez (Silver Car S3) with 2.22.347, all times from the shorter version of 4.5 km.

It was in the 2018 season when it was held for the last time in this long version of 8.5 km and then the best of all was Luis Monzón with the Audi R8 LMS, with a record of 4.16.789, the fastest in the touring car category. José Manuel González won in barquetas with 4.24.364 (BRC) and the Porsche 911 GT3 with the best time was in the hands of Yeray Lemes, with a record of 4.26.545.

The event this 2023, is also valid for the Las Palmas Mountain Championship, although its tenors do not attend the Haría event, where at least Iván Armas is expected. Other championships at stake are the Lanzarote Island Championship led by Yeray Lemes, the FALP Promotion Trophy and the Canary Islands JUNIOR Championship, he concludes.
