During the presentation of the XLIV Haría Climb, the deadline for entries for the most veteran event in Lanzarote's motorsport was met, closing with 55 participating drivers, the vast majority in the speed category, with the largest group represented by Lanzarote drivers, followed by a large group of drivers from La Gomera, Tenerife, Gran Canaria, plus some drivers from Fuerteventura.
Many of the vehicles that visit the Haría Climb are followers of the Regional Mountain Championship, with names such as Angel Bello and José Manuel González. But they also do not miss the classic Haría ramp, which this year recovers its long route with the start from Tabayesco, drivers of the stature of Yeray Lemes, Antonio Suárez, Oliver Rodríguez and many more names that will encourage the race of the "Valley of the Thousand Palm Trees."
Noteworthy is undoubtedly the presence of the Hyundai Canarias team with its Czech driver Jan Cerny, to continue testing and gaining experience on the Hyundai i20-N Rally2.
The presentation took place at the new Malpaso Viewpoint, a privileged place with two artificial glazed watchtowers that are launched over the immense and beautiful landscape over this valley. Viewpoint that is also located in one of the "paellas" or curves of the climb route.

The climb is very important for this town, as it is one of the key sporting events of its upcoming San Juan 2023 festivities.
The Minister of Sports of the Cabildo de Lanzarote, Alfredo Mendoza, also took the floor, who said goodbye to the world of motorsport by leaving his position shortly and assured that he had greatly enjoyed the experience he has lived, despite the critical moments that this sport has gone through on the island, but with much effort and tenacity, motorsport has finally shone again.
The president of the FALP, Miguel Angel Domínguez, greeted those present and stressed that this may be one of the best climbs of the year, for its tradition, for its length of route and for the good registration received.
