Last Saturday night, the 'Andrés Curbelo - Pollo de Tao' arena was filled with emotion, pride and tradition on the occasion of the official presentation of all categories of the Tao Wrestling Club for the new 2025-2026 season.
Family, friends and numerous fans gathered at this emblematic venue to support the 92 wrestlers who will defend the club's colors in its different categories: Prebenjamín, Benjamín, Alevín, Infantil, Cadete, Juvenil and Senior. Added to these are the 19 members of the technical staff and the board of directors, forming a human team that reflects the strength and unity of this historic sports institution.
Punctually at 8:00 p.m., one by one the members of the club stepped onto the arena received by applause and cheers by a devoted public. The atmosphere was that of an authentic Canarian Wrestling festival, where the feeling of belonging and respect for our sporting culture could be felt in every corner.
The act continued with the institutional protocol. The mayor of Teguise, Olivia Duque, gave words of encouragement and congratulations, highlighting the work of the club in promoting Canarian Wrestling among the new generations and proudly celebrating the "91 years of History" of the Tao Wrestling Club. Alongside her was the Councilor for Sports, Alejandro Ramírez, showing institutional support for the local sport.

The closing of the event was carried out by the president of the club, Francisco Díaz, better known as "Paquito", who deeply thanked the involvement of all levels of the club; wrestlers, technical staff, board of directors, Teguise City Council, sponsors, families and, of course, the fans who never fail in important moments.
The evening concluded with the traditional family photo, a symbol of unity, commitment and hope for a season that looks promising. It was, without a doubt, an endearing day where camaraderie and love for Canarian Wrestling stood as the true protagonists of the night.
