The III San Patricio Regatta arrives in Arrecife from the Real Club Náutico

To mark the holiday, the club decided to organize the activity and also strengthen relations with the Irish club.

The III San Patricio Regatta was held on Sunday with the Real Club Náutico de Arrecife, which hosted the commemoration of the regattas and the official events thereof. On this occasion, San Patricio was celebrated, a festival of Christian origin, celebrated every March 17 to commemorate the death of the patron saint of all Ireland. Lanzarote each year has an extensive program of actions by the Irish community on the island.

The sporting event was contested with two J80 class boats, representing the Real Club Naútico de Arrecife (RCN) and the Royal Irish Yacht Club (RIYC) of Ireland. The Lanzarote crew that won 4 to 1, was formed by the members: Pedro de León Padrón, Felipe Brito Toledo, Eduardo Brito Sánchez and Salvador Postigo. Once the competition was over, the awards ceremony and closing ceremony were held at the yacht club, and a buffet was served that was enlivened by lively Irish music and dances.

The president of the RCNA, Julio Romero Ortega, announced the future collaboration agreement between the RCNA and the Irish RIYC.
