Lanzarote Ciudad de Arrecife Handball extends its good run of results for another week and added a comfortable victory on Saturday afternoon against one of the teams from the lower part of the Primera Nacional Masculina standings. The clash against Balonmano Porriño only had history in the first fifteen minutes, with equality maintained until San José Obrero opened a significant gap on the scoreboard to conquer the two points that were at stake.

From the start of the match, Balonmano Lanzarote Ciudad de Arrecife took the initiative of the game and that allowed it to establish the first differences on the scoreboard. The goals by Acoidan Martín and Abián Martín served to put the 4-1 on the scoreboard of the Titerroy Municipal Pavilion.

The good saves by goalkeeper Miguel Couñago, even stopping two counterattacks from the locals, allowed Balomano Porriño to stay alive in the match. Before the halfway point of the first half, the Galicians went one goal down (5-4) and this was one of the turning points of the match.

Lanzarote Ciudad de Arrecife Handball reacted with a 3-0 run with goals from Santiago Cardone, Aday González and Joel Armas (8-4), forcing the visiting coach to call a timeout. After instructions from the bench, Aday González stole a new ball in defense and put the difference at five goals (9-4).

The difference kept increasing as the minutes advanced, with the lead standing at eight goals after two goals by Ángel Iglesias, a player who this first half played in the lateral position. With the score of 16 to 8, the end of the first half was reached.

The second half of the match barely had any history, with Balonmano Lanzarote Ciudad de Arrecife setting the difference at ten goals. A second half in which coach Luis Morín, who acted as coach in this match due to the absence of Alfredo Rodríguez who is with the Italian national team, took the opportunity to distribute minutes among all the players and leave those with physical discomfort on the bench.

In the final minutes, Balonmano Lanzarote Ciudad de Arrecife increased the difference, taking advantage that Balonmano Porriño had lowered the defensive intensity. In that way, the lead was placed above ten goals in the final stretch of the match.

With the result of 33 to 20, the end of the match was reached, with Balonmano Lanzarote Ciudad de Arrecife adding its seventh consecutive victory and which allows it to maintain a five-point difference with respect to the third-placed team. San José Obrero will now play two consecutive away matches, visiting Bueu Atlético Balonmano and Balonmano Ribeiro.
