The season for FC Puerto del Carmen of the Women's First National Team concluded, and taking advantage of the fact that the reserve team was playing against Universitario just after the match against Real Unión de Tenerife “B”, the club's women's section held the awards ceremony that it organizes every season, where the coaching staff, players, and parents play a fundamental role.
Nieves Morales received the trophy for top scorer of the national team, and Andrea Pérez did the same for the preferred team. In the goalkeeping positions, Nazaret Varela was awarded the prize for the least scored-upon goalkeeper of the national team, while Milli Shakespeare won the trophy in the preferred category.
The nominations for best young player and players with the greatest potential were decided by the club's coaching staff, who decided that Andrea Pérez should receive the trophy for best young player of the national team, while Laura Guadalupe obtained the award in the preferred category. For her part, the award for greatest potential went, after a decision by the coaches, to Kiara Arteaga in the national team and to Milli Shakespeare in the preferred team.
One of the most cherished awards is that of club player, where the coaching staff chooses the player who has best represented the values of the entity during the season, with the award this year going to Janet Abreut.
Finally, there was the Golden Ball trophy, which is awarded by vote of the coaches, the players, and their parents, with Nieves Morales being awarded in the national category and Andrea Pérez in the preferred category.
The club also had a recognition plaque for Juventud Laguna de Tenerife for the help provided throughout the season, hoping that this collaboration link will continue in the future.
During the event, in which there was representation from the Tías City Council, the players, family members, and the coaching staff enjoyed a meal and a time of fun where soccer was only the link of union.
