The Open Mall in Arrecife hosted the official presentation of the 46th Orvecame-Isla de Lanzarote Rally and Ciudad de Arrecife Trophy this Tuesday at noon, the first event of the Canary Islands Championship organized by CD. Evesport, which will be held this Saturday with almost unbeatable ingredients, since among the 48 registered teams we have no less than eight latest generation Rally type vehicles, which together with the rest of the participants, who are increasingly better equipped with FIA vehicles, it could be said that the 2025 edition will be the best in the history of Lanzarote motorsport and one of the best in the CCRA as well.

The final preparatory work for the rally began the same morning with the security coordination meeting, held at the headquarters of the Lanzarote Emergency Consortium, to finish fine-tuning all the operations planned for the event and the organization itself by Cd. Evesport. This marks the beginning of the rally's big week and immediately afterwards the presentation of an event that for the first time moves from the end of the season to the beginning, opening the championships.

The event was presided over by the mayor of Arrecife, Jonathan de León, who was accompanied by the Minister of Sports of the Island Council, Juan Monzón, among other island and municipal authorities, such as the mayor of Haría, Alfredo Villalba, and the host City Councilor for Sports, whose head Ely Merino spoke on behalf of all her fellow city councilors for sports from the other municipalities.

On the more sporting side, the presidents of the FALP and FCA, Daniel Ponce and Miguel Angel Domínguez, together with the president of the organization, José Víctor Rodríguez, who was in charge of presenting the details of the event and thanking the institutions of the Lanzarote fans for their commitment to the rally.

Representatives of the sponsors Orvecame and CICAR and Open Mall, Javier Martín and Santiago Arzola, respectively, also attended. And finally, several Lanzarote drivers were present, such as Yeray Lemes, Oscar Cabrera, Javier Cañada and Camilo González, among others.

The center of the Lanzarote capital encompasses the rally activities this Friday and Saturday, in addition to the timed sections spread throughout almost all the municipalities of the island. On Friday we will have the vehicle checks, autograph signings and presentations of the main teams and the starting ceremony. The entire route takes place on Saturday.

Expectation for the start of the Regional Rally Championship (CCRA) is maximum, because in the recent history of the event, a line-up of registered and favorite drivers of such a high level has never been seen before. And even less so when it comes to the first event of the Canary Islands Championship and the BP Championship of Las Palmas. It also counts towards the Lanzarote island championship.

At this same event, the official poster of the ROILTA25 was distributed, designed by Javier Martín, marketing director of the Cabrera Medina Group, a piece that will be an object of worship due to the high level reached in this 46th edition of the rally and that fans will keep as a souvenir.

The starting ceremony on Friday on the Rambla Medular in front of the Open Mall (7:30 p.m.) will be quite an event in Arrecife and Lanzarote, to see a caravan of high-level rally cars along with their drivers and co-drivers. The starting order will be decreasing, from the last on the list of registered drivers to the first.
