The Lanzarote archer Sergio Hernández achieved fourth place in the Spanish Archery Championship held this past weekend at the University City of Madrid.
Hernández, who is attending this championship for the first time, was just one point away from reaching the bronze medal, although the great fourth place achieved reflects the hard work of the athlete, since 50 archers from all over the country participated in the competition.
Despite only competing for two years, Sergio Hernández is the current Archery Champion of the Canary Islands and is "quite happy" with the result obtained despite the weather conditions in Madrid due to the intense heat.
The archer qualified in each phase until reaching Sunday, where the best 16 competed.
