San José Obrero signs a victory of character against Lirón Teucro

Balonmano Lanzarote Ciudad de Arrecife overcame a bad start, came to dominate by seven goals and ended up winning 28-26 in a vibrant duel in Titerroy

Important victory added by Balonmano Lanzarote Ciudad de Arrecife on Saturday night, prevailing over one of the teams that aspire to fight for promotion, after a great match on the court. San José Obrero was able to recover from the initial doubts of the match, turn the score around and have an income of seven goals in the second half. The Galicians tightened the result in the final minutes, but the two points remained in Titerroy. 

The match did not start entirely well for the interests of Balonmano Lanzarote Ciudad de Arrecife, being surpassed by the fast game of Lirón Teucro, and not showing intense in defensive tasks. After the first five minutes, an outside shot by Agustín Franco and a penetration by Gonçalo Areias, put the 3 to 7 in favor of the visitors, having David Betancort request a time-out. 

San José Obrero changed its defensive system, began to play with a 5:1 defense with Rafa Robayna in the advanced, and the change of strategy gave the expected results. A 5-1 partial, with goals from Mauro Jaureguiberry (2), Javi Aragón, Adrián Juárez and Rafa Robayna, put the tie on the electronic scoreboard, being now the Teucro bench that requested the time-out (8-8). 

Balonmano Lanzarote Ciudad de Arrecife took control of the match until the break of the match. A first part that ended with a good defensive action by the locals, the goalkeeper Saúl Rodríguez put a long ball for Acoidán, and the captain culminated the fast counterattack to score on the horn. With the 13 to 10 the break was reached. 

Lrión Teucro was able to establish the tie in the first minutes of the second half, and everything started from scratch again. The exclusions suffered by the visiting team, being left with two players less on the court, were used to regain the income of three goals. 

The best minutes of Balonmano Lanzarote Ciudad de Arrecife were being lived on the court, and the public stood up with the goal of the youth player Pedro Noda from the extreme, putting the 22 to 18 on the scoreboard and forcing Teucro to a new time-out. After the indications from the bench, Santiago Cardone from his court, Mauro Jaureguiberry on the counterattack and Javi Aragón, raised the advantage to seven goals (25-18). 

Lirón Teucro was not going to give his arm to twist in the minutes remaining until the end of the match, reaching three goals down with four minutes to go at the mercy of a 1-5 partial. The pivot Santiago Cardone sentenced the duel with a goal from the six-meter line, but the Galicians continued to make up the final result. 

With the score of 28 to 26 the end of the match was reached, adding Balonmano Lanzarote Ciudad de Arrecife a victory of empaque against Lirón Teucro 80 Aniversario and giving a blow on the table. On the third day, San José Obrero will visit the court of Automanía Luceros, another of the teams that has achieved the full of victories in this start of the season.
