This weekend the eighth day of the Women's First National League took place, where FC Puerto del Carmen visited CD Tarsa at the Municipal Field of Breña Alta, in La Palma. The team trained by Jack Talbot had prepared thoroughly for the match, studying the game played by the women from La Palma to counteract it and be superior in the match.

The Lanzarote team started very well, knowing how to handle the ball, and waiting for the gap to get ahead on the scoreboard. However, all that tranquility and good play that they were displaying was diminished after 13 minutes when the local team, which until then had not approached Naza's goal, took advantage of a bad defensive control to hang a ball in the center and María Dolores put her team ahead on the scoreboard.

The good game of FC Puerto del Carmen that had been displayed until that moment disappeared radically. The red-and-white players caught the long game of their rival, they were not able to listen to the instructions that their coach gave them from the side due to nerves, leading them to a situation in which they were not able to attack, although they were not dominated by the locals either.

The struggle to fight in defense and clear the ball by both teams was rewarded with a second goal for Miguel Cid's team, who took advantage of another defensive error for Eva María to put the second goal for her team shortly before the break.

Jack Talbot made a substitution at halftime of the match with the aim of trying to change the dynamic and that his players would have the ball again, but they still could not control the ball, without having the ability to shoot on goal and abusing the vertical game from which the women from La Palma always benefited, responding with another long ball.

Time was passing and after 73 minutes of the match came the goal that ended up sentencing the match in favor of the locals, with a distant shot from Yohana that Naza could not stop, adding the third goal to the scoreboard of CD Tarsa.

Before the end of the match came the goal of honor for FC Puerto del Carmen through Eva Sánchez, although it was insufficient to score points in the Municipal of Breña Baja.

The Lanzarote team returned empty-handed from La Palma with bad feelings regarding the game played and for the facilities given to the rival who shot three times on goal and got 3 goals, while the Lanzarote team could only score one of three attempts they had.

Jack Talbot, at the end of the match, was very critical of the football played by his team. "We played badly, horribly, especially in defense, which facilitated the goals of the rival team," said the British coach.
