In a crazy game, Magec Tías Against Gender Violence fell 78 to 79 against Picken Claret, after an epic comeback that included overtime and a basket from center court in the last second by the Valencian team.

Cristo González had already warned before the match about the difficulty that the rival would present. Picken Claret's second position in the standings corroborated this. However, the Magec Tías players came out without complexes, achieving an 8-point advantage in the first moments of the game.

The Valencian coach was forced to call a time-out to stop the islanders' momentum, managing to reverse the situation with a 1-10 partial in a few minutes. The visitors showed their strength under the basket, capturing more rebounds and preventing easy shots. At the end of the first quarter, the score already favored the visitors by 14 to 19.

In the second quarter, Picken Claret's dominance continued, extending their lead to 13 points at specific moments. Despite Cristo González's rotations and efforts to improve the team's work, the Valencians maintained their path to victory, closing the first half with a score of 29 to 38.

Magec Tías showed signs of improvement upon returning to the court, reducing the differences but still far from thinking about the final victory. Controversial refereeing decisions led to protests and the signaling of several techniques. Despite everything, the red and black team focused and prevented the Valencians from escaping even further on the scoreboard, ending the third quarter 43 to 52.

The last quarter was a roller coaster of emotions. Tania González, Margarida Junqueira, Verónica Matoso, Iranzu Drake and Carolina Mateo were key in the team's comeback. Yaiza García was eliminated due to the accumulation of personal fouls and was prevented from joining the team. Magec Tías achieved a 12-0 partial, overcoming the 14-point deficit and tying the game at 65 at the end of regulation time.

Overtime began with Magec Tías dominating, achieving a lead of up to 7 points. However, Picken Claret reacted after a time-out. In the last minute, Sira Hisado scored a crucial basket for the locals, followed by a response from Marina Bleda. With the game tied with 15 seconds left, Cristo González called a time-out. Margarida Junqueira scored two free throws, leaving only 3'92 seconds on the clock. But destiny had prepared a tragic ending for the locals, Marina Bleda shot from her own court and scored, sealing the victory for the Valencian team.

The visitors' euphoria contrasted with the local disappointment, who saw victory slip away in the cruelest way. With this defeat, Magec Tías Against Gender Violence remains fifth in the standings. Next week they visit Granada Más Baloncesto, a team that shares the same numbers (3-4) as the Lanzarote team.
