New success for CD Pingüinos: Miguel Martínez and Vega Jiménez was Spanish runner-up in mixed duet

The Club Natación Pingüinos de Arrecife – RCNA, participated this weekend in the Spanish Alevín and Infantil Winter Artistic Swimming Championship, which was held in Oviedo (Asturias) from last Friday until today, Sunday.

The expedition was made up of 23 swimmers from both categories and competed against 42 clubs from all over Spain. The results obtained in the Parque del Oeste Pool were excellent for Pinguïnos, who return to Lanzarote with important national achievements.

In the alevín category, Miguel Martínez Morales, who ranked 15th among 304 participants in the general classification, was first in the classification of male children's figures. Miguel, together with Vega Jiménez, with Sofía Méndez López-Socas as a substitute, were proclaimed Spanish runner-up in mixed duet.

In the alevín classification by clubs, the CD Pingüinos de Arrecife was in 8th place overall with 42 participating clubs, which qualifies them for the Spanish Summer Championship in the first division.

In the children's category, Eduardo Curbelo was second in male figures. By clubs, they obtained 6th place among 37 teams, which also qualifies them for the Spanish Summer Championship in the first division.

Important week of successes for the CD Pingüinos de Arrecife – RCNA, which tomorrow, Monday, will receive the “Promotion of Sports” award granted by the Cabildo de Lanzarote at the Sports Gala that will be held from 7:00 p.m., at the Farmer's Monument.

The two teams, alevín and infantil, will compete at home in the Spanish Summer Championship, which will be held at the La Santa Sport Club facilities.

From the Club Pingüinos de Arrecife – RCNA, they thank Sports Club Puerto Calero for allowing them to train during these months in their facilities, as well as the Real Club Náutico de Arrecife for the constant support of our sport.
