CICAR Lanzarote Ciudad de Arrecife is not going through the best moment of the season, adding only one point of the last eight that have been put into play and giving a feeling of blockage. Faced with this situation, coach David Betancort has considered that "the best solution is to step aside and look for a revulsive that helps to redirect the team's trajectory".

From this afternoon, Jesús Casanova takes over the team's training. David Betancort and the board of CB San José Obrero held a meeting to analyze the crisis of results of the women's team, looking for an explanation for what has been happening in the last matches played. A meeting in which the coach considered that "the most appropriate thing was to present his
resignation
as technical manager of the team, and help in the search for a revulsive to redirect the situation", as recognized from San José Obrero.
The club has quickly reached an agreement for the incorporation of Casanova and will be the technical manager who will be in charge of CICAR Lanzarote Ciudad de Arrecife until the end of this season. The experienced coach will live a new stage at the head of one of the teams of San José Obrero, since he is currently directing different teams of Club Balonmano Tahíche.
