The season is progressing and next weekend the Lanzarote driver José María Reina faces the third round of the national karting campaign. The Team BRT – Tony Kart component wants to make up for the bad taste left by the test in Recas (Toledo), having to face numerous problems in the engine of the kart. Despite the mechanical incidents, José María Reina retains second place overall in the DD2 Máster category. This coming weekend the third round of the season will be held in Motorland, the city of motorsports in Aragon.
On Friday afternoon a new race starts, this time valid for the Iberian Cup, better known as the Mojo Cup. This is a championship parallel to the Rotax Series and whose prize is a place to be in the world final, to be held in Valencia in November.
Without a doubt, this is one more incentive for the Lanzarote driver José María Reina. A weekend that will begin with free practice on Friday and Saturday, which will be used to fine-tune the karts and will continue on Sunday morning with official practice and the two competition heats.
Motorland will have a wide participation of drivers, with the Mojo Cup having a very large entry. In addition to the usual competitors of the Rotax Series, there are world-class drivers from other countries who will arrive attracted by the possibility of scoring for the Mojo Cup. The time set by the competitors in the timed practice sessions will be important in order to have a good position on the starting grid for Sunday's race. Motorland is one of the most spectacular circuits in Spain, both for its layout and for the facilities it has. It is located in the same facilities where the Moto GP World Championship is held, being a city dedicated to the world of motorsports.
José María Reina explains that for the third round of the season the "objective will be to compete in the race and leave with the maximum number of points possible". The Canary Islands driver explains that "winning will be complicated given the high level there is, but that is not why we are going to stop trying". Reina is very ambitious and has the support of a professional team such as Team BRT – Tony Kart.
